On May 1st 2024, we officially launched GIVE&GO on Kickstarter.
We felt like it was a great place to build our early community and get our game out to more people. At the time of writing this post, we had just launched, so the team was feeling both exciting and anxious about meeting our funding target.
Excited because we have been working towards this moment for 6 months.
Anxious because you just never know how something is going to sell - Will they actually support the project? Is this actually a good idea? These were just a couple questions racing through our minds in those early days, but the nerves quickly subsided.
Fast forward a few months, we're updating the post to include some key visuals, numbers, and results of the campaign as well as our next steps as a team.
We ended up hitting our funding target in the first 6 days. This was a great feeling and a testament to all the hard work the team put in over the previous few months. Everything from testing the game with friends and family, to the branding, to the card content itself was a result of some great minds coming together to build something fun for soccer fans near and far.
As we write to update this post (9/20/24), we're still the most funded soccer card game on Kickstarter, which is pretty cool to say.

We hope one day we can look back on these early days and know that we were on the right path. But, for now, we're back to the drawing board to try and build this thing. The hard work is just beginning and we're looking forward to serving the soccer community the GIVE&GO way.
